1 Bids for construction of the boat ramp are out.

2. Working with Harold Hitchens on layout and estimate for sidewalks for Safe Route to Schools Grant.

3. Our business survey was mailed out to 180 local businesses on Thursday.

4. I visited Union Hospital with Jeff Neidig (Owner of Mediwise) to observe their procedure for administering the vaccine. Their supervisor answered a lot of questions for us. The Health Department is forgoing the POD idea as long as the number of doses being received by the county continues to be so small (100-200 per week). This week there were 1600 80 year olds who registered for their vaccine. We will continue to create a plan and a process for a POD so if the doses ever increases, we can provide a administering station. We have the location, the volunteers, the RN’s to administer the shot, as well as the personnel for data entry, crowd and traffic control, and medical for post shot observance for adverse reactions.

5. I asked Cody Addy if the Library could assist the elderly as well as other residents who cannot register for their shot, because they do not have a computer or access to one. He was welcome to the idea. We have VRC volunteers will assist those who need assistance with the library computers. Cody just has to select the days he would like to have posted for that assistance, and then we will post it on line, on the radio and through our all call system. We had received several calls from senior citizens that had called the Health Department and had been told to register on line – and they don’t have the access.

6. The Ohio EPA has accepted our Phase II application. They will send it to the US EPA for acceptance.

7. I will be meeting with the railroad to begin working out a contract for the maintenance and inspection of the railroad spur next Thursday. The crossing is completed with the exception of some mandatory signage.
