  1. The ice storm caused it share of problems this week for the street department. I thought they did a pretty good job continually treating the streets on the two shifts they had going. The alleys have been the hardest to get back. The Street Department has been working on the alleys, especially those that have called in and requested help. They have been working on them in between the funerals they had this week. Warmer Temps will help.
  2. Lisa and I met with Bill Addington from Park National Bank yesterday to discuss the money to be invested in CDs and bonds to raise more revenue since the interest with the money market accounts are so low. No money is invested in the stock market just banks with higher fixed interest rates than what we are currently getting (.07%)
  3. Khiva Harris spoke with some of the residents of Martin Luther King Drive to help decide on the playground equipment to be purchased for the Southside Park. Khiva’s construction crew will be installing (at no cost) the new equipment as well as taking out the old metal and aluminum slide that is there, this spring and summer.
  4. We have been working with Quicksall Engineers on setting up the procedures for the Boat ramp.
  5. Jobs Ohio has been creating more marketing materials for our Industrial Park. Being on the A List is getting us more attention nationally.
