Cy Young Days Festival Tentative Schedule

Friday June 25th. 
5:00 PM  Tents and Concessions Open.

5:00 PM  Opening Ceremonies on Canal Street Stage:
               Paul Harvey, Pastor of  Countryside Baptist Church to give  
                opening prayer. Guest Speaker Scott Longert, Author of  Cy
                Young: An  American Baseball Hero, to speak about baseball   
                 in the 19th century.   

5:00         Cornhole Tournament signups to begin

5:30 PM  Crowning of the Queens and her Court, Canal St. Stage

6:00 PM  Cornhole Tournament to Start down town. 
                 Music by Mike Hoskins at Canal St. Stage. 

8:00-11 PM  Moonlyterz Band on Canal St. Stage.

                      
Saturday June 26th.

  8:00 AM  Cy Young Run begins at Cy Young Park Rotary Pavilion,   
                   Contact Kim Young for details.      
                   Directly following the run, we will make a Cy Young Grave     
                   site visit  with Festival Guest of Honor, Perci Garner,  at Peoli  
                   Cemetery (all are welcome to attend grave site visit and  group photo) 
                    11:30 AM  Luncheon doors open at Labors  local Hall 134,
                   lunch is at 12:30 PM, Bat auction to be held during the luncheon.             

12:00 PM  Tents and Concessions Open.

12-2  PM   ArtsNCT talent show on Canal St. Stage  (Cash Prizes)
  4:30 PM  Parade Line-up beginning at Nct. High School
  6:00 PM   Parade starts

   6:45 PM  Royalty and Visiting Royalty Introductions. Canal St. Stage

   7:00 PM  Grand Parade Marshal Autograph signing at the Olde Main 
                    Street Museum free and open to the public. 
    8-11 PM The Adam Calvert Band takes the stage with their hi-energy Country / Rock Show! Canal St. Stage

Sunday June 27th.

  8:00 AM Ron Porcher Memorial  Vintage Baseball Games begins at Cy Young Park

12:00 PM  Concessions open downtown    

  1:00 PM  Registration for Car Show on Main Street

  2-3   PM  Music by Bobby Dotson on the Canal Street Stage
  3:00 PM  Car Show registration ends on Main Street                                          (CAR SHOW RAIN OR SHINE)
  5:00 PM Pass out Car Show awards and the closing of the festival
