Leaf pick up will start October 25,2021

We have reached that time of year when leaves are coming down and the Street Dept. is asking for your cooperation in their removal. We will use the same schedule as last year's clean-up. Leaves are to be raked into the street on your assigned day. Rake them about one foot from the curb, which allows the water to flow to the drains. Please do not put your leaves in the curb strip. If your leaves are in the curb strip only thing that will be picked up is what the machine can reach. Crews do not have time to rake your leave in the street, it puts them behind to get each zone completed for your assigned day. Crews will start at 7:00 A.M. It is important that you rake your leaves into the street the night before your schedule day. (Crews will only make one pass each day)! Do not place brush and trash in your piles of leaves. If these items are found, the leaves will not be picked up! Do not park cars in front of your pile of leaves we need room to get the leaf machine into pick them up. Please make a note of the following times and dates:

1.         Mondays: Section 1- From River Street west to the corporation limit, south of the railroad tracks.

2.         Tuesdays: Section 2 - From River Street east to the corporation limit, south of the railroad tracks.

3.         Wednesdays: Section 3 - From Bridge Street east to Pilling Street, north of the railroad tracks. Includes Scott Addition.

4.         Thursdays: Section 4 - From Bridge Street west to the corporation limit, north of the railroad tracks.
