Tours start at 1:30 but you will revive a call notifying you or your group a time to report to Olde Main Street Museum. Groups will be scheduled to leave the museum about every 10 minutes. You will check in, get your tickets then proceed to the East State Street entrance to the cemetary. During the tour you will hear about war heroes , a local playboy who made his mark in New York City, Manuel Yingling who was a member of the John Phillip Sousa Band, a tombstone purchased through a Sears & Roebuck catalog, a woman who died suddenly on a train, and many more. The tour will take about an hour to complete. Following the tour, visitors are invited to continue the experience at both the Temperance Museum and the Olde Main Street Museum where you will learn about another war hero, explore exhibits, visit the gift shop, and ENJOY drinks and homemade fall desserts.
Suggested donation is $20 for a great afternoon full of local history!
